- Our repeat visitors may notice things are a little bit different around here. We’d been meaning to take care of things for a while now, and finally we were able to do some much needed sprucing to our website. We wanted to simplify things a bit for our visitors and give ourselves a little more room to play. So, far it has been working out nicely. As with any transition, there are always a few hiccups but we are working through them are are pretty comfortable with the direction we are in. Hope you like the new look.
- And speaking of sprucing, it’s SPRING people! Thank goodness. So that means time for some spring cleaning. Why not go take a look at the pile of collateral you’ve got sitting in the corner. Is it looking a little dusty? A little faded? Maybe it’s time to send all that stuff to the recycle bin. The economy and the consumer mindset has completely changed over the past year. Is your messaging still relevant to them? Most likely it isn’t. Get inspired by the sunshine and freshen up your marketing. Oh wow! I don’t know how we missed this post, but saw it just now and we just have to say thank you!
Before things like Facebook and Twitter, it was difficult for small, local businesses to get the word out about what’s going on and why people might want to visit the business. We are huge proponents of the new age of publicity and communication that allows us to have two-way conversations with our customers. It’s not the be all and end all, though.
We’ve expanded our campaigns to traditional channels as well. We send out traditional press releases to the local press, we keep in touch with local bloggers who talk about a variety of topics related to the restaurant biz and we advertise on a local radio station.
Is it working? You betcha! Week over week our business has improved from the previous year, but even more importantly, our customers know that they can reach out in a variety of ways and know that we are listening and acting on their suggestions and ideas.
Thanks again for the shout-out… it was a terrific surprise for a dreary Monday afternoon!
