We founded 3thought in the spring of 2009. Despite some questions about starting a business in the middle of a recession, we knew that it was a time of opportunity. We were looking ahead at our fast approaching 30th birthdays and where we wanted to go in our careers. We were looking back at a combined 24 years of design experience, and we looked at each other and said, “Now is the time.”

We had many discussions about how we wanted to take on building a design firm. We thought about what we wanted to be able to offer our clients and rethought how to run a business. We scraped together the monies from our First-time Homebuyers Credits. We made appointments with lawyers, insurance men, accountants and other mentors. With all the pieces in place and some words of encouragement, 3thought was born.
3thought is the partnership of differing points of view and complementary skill sets. Combined, we feel that we can offer our clients the talent and experience of a larger agency with out the price tag, as well as the value and personal touch of freelancer but with more depth of service. We seek to provide our clients with the full visual system they need to market their business. We partner with companies to help them identify and refine their creative strategies and provide them with top-quality print design to support those efforts. We maintain a network of strategic partners that provide highly specialized services including web development, photography, copy writing and marketing strategy. By working with these trusted professionals, we help our clients realize their marketing goals across a wide variety of media.
In addition to providing professional graphic design and creative strategy, we at 3thought hope to facilitate a dialog between out clients and the design industry through our blog. We will seek to provide resources that improve the client/designer relationship as well as inspire creative thinking where ever it can be found.
