Supporting “A Night to Remember” Since 2009

Case Study

Event Branding

Event Marketing

A long-term partnership focused on developing evolving annual themes and delivering a complete suite of event materials for a mission-driven benefit operating at institutional scale.

What This Requires

A Night to Remember is the annual benefit for The Kristen Ann Carr Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing sarcoma research and improving the lives of cancer patients, with a particular focus on teens and young adults.

While the event name remains constant, each year introduces new honorees, new themes, and new creative direction — all within a tightly structured production timeline and layered approval process.

Since 2009, our role has been to help the event evolve year after year without losing its sense of continuity or purpose. The materials must honor the organization’s mission, support the planner’s production schedule, integrate dozens of sponsors accurately, and hold up in a high-visibility environment.

High-profile annual benefits don’t come together by accident. Their structure is reflected in every material — from invitations and sponsor outreach to the final event presentation.

Where It Shows Up

While each year introduces a new theme, the scope of the event remains substantial and consistent.

The system extends across every touchpoint required to bring the evening to life — from early sponsor communications to the final slideshow on event night.

Core Print & Donor Materials

The annual auction guide and journal (often spanning 60–80 pages), invitations, sponsorship materials, RSVP cards, and supporting print collateral form the backbone of the event’s communications. Accuracy, hierarchy, and production readiness are critical at every stage.

Attendee Experience Materials

While the event does not rely on large-scale environmental build-outs, every material guests interact with on-site — from programs and presentation slides to select signage and donor-facing pieces — is designed to feel cohesive within the venue’s existing atmosphere.

Pre-Event & Sponsor Communications

Eblasts, social graphics, and sponsor outreach materials help set the tone long before guests arrive, ensuring that the visual identity carries consistently across channels.

Across all of it, the goal is clarity and cohesion — so that the focus remains on the mission and the people gathered to support it.

Long-term continuity has also been made possible through consistent collaboration with Karen and the team at Empire Events Group, whose experience ensures the event runs with precision year after year.

Built to Evolve, Year After Year

A Night to Remember has remained a constant on the organization’s calendar for decades. Our role has been to support that consistency while allowing each year to feel distinct.

New honorees, evolving themes, and shifting venues introduce fresh creative direction annually — but the underlying structure remains steady. Sponsor integration follows a disciplined hierarchy. Production timelines follow a predictable rhythm. Files are prepared with both printer and venue realities in mind.

Long-term continuity has also been made possible through consistent collaboration with the team at Empire Events Group, whose experience and leadership ensure the event runs with precision year after year.

This balance — creative evolution supported by operational consistency — is what allows the event to grow without being reinvented from scratch each year.

For planners and nonprofit teams operating at this level, reliability is not optional. It is foundational.

Each year brings a new creative challenge. The fun is finding a way to make it feel completely fresh while still feeling unmistakably like A Night to Remember

Events operate under pressure. Timelines shift, details change, and expectations remain high. Our role is to move with that pressure — meeting deadlines, minimizing friction, and delivering work that holds steady year after year.

Who Is This For?

High-profile events demand more than a great theme. They require structure, clarity, and partners who understand how creative direction intersects with production reality.

If you’re planning an event with layered approvals, sponsor integrations, tight print timelines, and no room for error, the design system supporting it has to be steady long before doors open.

We’ve been fortunate to work alongside experienced planners operating at this level for years.
