6 Tree Toppers for Designers

Lots of exciting changes in 2013 for the 3thought team, both personally and professionally. Being designers, Matt and I always notice the little details that make up a memory. In honor of this memorable year, we thought our Christmas Tree topper could use an upgrade, and of course, no ordinary topper would do.

We found some interesting options that we thought other designers, or design aficionados, might appreciate. So what’s your flavor of design?

1. If you adore the classics and are inspired by the masters…

This silver-plated, stunner made of linear patterns, is based on a glass design Frank Lloyd Wright created for the Luxfer Prism Company in 1897. It is available from Architectus on Amazon for $99*.

2. If “Retro” is your thing, or geometric shapes speak you..

This simple, reflective beauty is available in 3 color combos from Target for $15*.

3. For the minimalist who likes bold lines…

This wooden piece is handmade and can also double as a centerpiece. This unique number is available from SewBr0ke on Etsy for $86*.

4. If you like to think out of the box and go from something completely different…

Bet you have never seen a peacock atop a tree before. Made of blown glass and hand set with Swarovski® crystals, this vibrant sculpture can be had for only $365* from Neiman Marcus.

5. If you like to work a little more organically…

Taking a more rustic approach, this topper is made from actual twigs that have been gilded in gold leaf for some shimmer. You can find this topper from West Elm on Remodelista for $15*.

6. If modern elegance is your style…

Made from Capiz and a bit of glitter, this multi-tier star offers a little bit of the old and a little bit of the new. It is available on Christmas LTD. for $16*.
