3thoughts on 5 years
April 16, 2014//Last Updated April 16, 2014
We’ll it’s almost 8pm on a Wednesday night and we’re finally getting a few minutes to sit down and write a blog post to acknowledge/celebrate our 5 year birthday. So yay for us! Here’s a few quick reflections and seriously, we mean quick.
- First and foremost, man things have changed in 5 years. It’s incredible how much we’ve learned, all the people we’ve met and all the really cool projects we’ve created. As much as things have changed, the core has remained the same. 3 thoughts. 3 points of view. A relationship that works best when the client, the consumer and the designer all align. We’ve grown so much in 5 years, but we’re happy to say our core believes have held up.
- Holy cow we’re busy. Now we’ve been told that as your business grows, you (the owner) will spend less time working in and more time working on your business. Five years in and we can honestly tell you that’s the truth. Today was filled with meetings and emails and all of the things we didn’t think we’d be doing when we started. Not that we’re complaining. We’re so grateful to have meaningful work that pays our bills and the days of Ramen noodles are have turned into imported Ramen noodles from Japan with all the fixins.
- If you’re so busy, who’s doing all the work? Good question. Well, we’re still doing a lot of the work, but we couldn’t be more excited to present the newest member of the 3thought team in the coming days. We’re just getting a few things in place and we’ll make the big announcement. We’re also hoping we can make a few more hires in the months/years to come. And of course, we’re still looking for talented people who share our vision and passion and want to be part of the team.
And that’s kinda where things are at. Not a bad place to be. It hasn’t come easy, but after 5 years we’re proud to say we’re still going strong. And if you’re reading this, we just want to say a BIG thank you for all your support along the way. And thank you to Gariphic for the blog photo!
